So, we are sorry we haven't posted anything for a while, life got in the way! We are done planting, and now haying. Baylie is still running everywhere and some days we can hardly keep up! As you can see in her John Deere shirt and her quirky smile, she has ornery written all over her! She has been keeping Granny Janny and Aunt Marcy on their toes as well. I started taking hapkido 2 months ago and just tested for my yellow belt on Saturday. While I am at hapkido                                                                                    class Marcy watches Baylie and then after class, Marcy goes to water aerobics and I watch the boys. They all get a lot of playtime with each other in!!
Baylie also enjoys playing on her miniature swingset. Now you see the tree in the background? Well, it's gone. Now we have her pool and my pool up and we both are having a good time! We basically took the tree down because every time it was windy all kinds of branches would fall out of it and we would always be cleaning up the yard.

A new addition in the yard this summer are Baylie's chickens! There are 5: Beula, Big Bird, Ethal, Bethal, and Susie. Don't ask me how I got the names-they are all long stories! When I put their food in their bowl, Baylie goes in after them and pets them. That is the time she gets brave. Other times are when she starts after them until they turn around and go after her, or when she puts her arm through the fence. I think they have been a good addition. They are good conversational pieces to have around!!

Now, this is her fake cry she does when she wants something. It's cute yes, but irritating because sometimes it works. I know, I need to be stronger, but lately she is having trouble with those darn teeth. Sometimes you have to pick your battles. Strong words spoken by many of mothers. The baret in her hair is not an everyday thing. I try to get it in when she will leave it along. I have lost several and I don't like playing the seeking game all day long. She is showing her true colors now and she is well on her way to being 2--she is going strong!

She is still showing off for her #1 player--her uncle Matt. Jennifer Meyer made her onsie shirt with Ravenwood in the front and Busby 5 on the back to help cheer on her team. Even though she doesn't "watch" the game, she is at least showing it. We'll have to start again on another shirt to cheer on her uncle Matt for the next season. She does do some cheering with the cheerleaders at the basketball games-it's so cute. Go Big Blue!

well, where do I begin? Our little angel is getting to be more and more fun all the time. As you can tell in the first picture she does have teeth on top and they do hurt when she bites (not often-just when she gets mad!) She has been playing outside when it's not wet or too windy out and she has been playing with her 2 ornery cousins Zachary and Nathan. When I was watching all of them the other day I heard Zach laughing and something rolling. I turned around and he was pushing Baylie in the dump truck. It was so cute I had them do it again so I can get a picture. She likes to talk to Nathan as you can see, but he was interested in his train movie. They all get along well with each other, which makes things more fun.

As you can see in the final picture there is 1 cow and 3 calves and yes, they are all hers. How exciting it was the other morning when Brad found them. They usually have a few sets of twins every year and this year they haven't had any twins. Then came along this set of triplets. It made Brad and Larry's day. They are so cute--don't ya think. This picture was taken not too long after they were born.

As you have heard about China's big earthquake, Jeremy is fine. In his email he basically was asleep through the whole thing. The earthquake was more in the middle of the country and Jeremy is 30 minutes or so from the Pacific Ocean, so he was quite a ways away from the traumatic event--thank goodness! He is going to travel to Korea on Monday so we'll see how well he likes that.

My last run I did in St. Joe was the Apple Blossom Run and I did it in 28:00-it's a decent time. I have another 5K to run in St. Joe again at Krug Park tomorrow the 17th so wish me luck--there will be hills!!

Hello everyone! I know it has been a little while, but we have been busy. Between playing on the farm, going to Granny Janny's and Papa Marlin's and birthday parties, we don't know what to do with ourselves!! Well, this past month I had ran in a couple of 5k races and did good. Baylie stays with Granny Janny while I am running around the country. I ran in Conception's Abbey Trails and one in St. Joe Run for Reading race. Both were fun. Baylie has been discovering new things on the farm and loves to ride with Grandpa Busby in the mule. She still chases the cats around and moo's at the cows. Now that uncle Matt has his show pigs, she has to go see them also and make her piggy sounds at them too just like down at Papa Marlin's.
She had a really good time at Ean Meyer's birthday party. She had a good time with him, the dump truck, playing in her own Mickey cake, and playing with Diesel. Jennifer and Tim got Diesel for Ean as a birthday present, but I think Jennifer enjoys him more than anyone right now!!! He is adorable I must say.
Daddy on the other hand has been getting anxious about getting in the field to start planting. (As well as everyone else in the county!!) There is still a lot of work to get done and time seems to be running out. It's already May and no seeds in the ground:( Other than that, Brad is doing good. His 32nd birthday was yesterday. He said it was just another day!
For the upcoming month, we hope to be planting, I'll be running more races in St. Joe and around the country side, and Baylie will be running around the yard--if it's not raining-- playing where ever she is at, and hopefully getting our pool up later this month. I know we will be there for a lot of our time this whole summer! Oh, and she finally has 3.25 teeth on the top now and still only 2 on the bottom. Slowly but surly she's getting teeth!!

Getting outside FINALLY!!!

Well, she is finally happy. She is now outside causing trouble! The yellow cat she is with, isn't helping either. She follows him around where ever he goes and he isn't even our cat!! He wondered under my pickup the other night and she bent over to look at it and even after her hands were on the ground, she kept going and skinned up her face a little on the cheek and forehead. Not a lot of crying at least. She's tough. Saturday night during Tim's 30th b-day party at the Parnell bar, we traveled up to the legion where Jeff Meyer and Stephanie Lyle got married and she entertained everyone with her dancing skills. It was really cute if I may say so myself. Then by 10:00pm, she laid her head on my shoulder and fell asleep.

She has been spending some time with her uncle Matt. She likes to play around with his hat as you can see. What is hers is hers and what is yours is hers also!! We all know how that is lately. I got to go with Marcy and Nathan to preschool the other morning and take some pigs and chicks to show the kids because it was farm week, and let me tell you it was fun and funny to watch all of them get excited at pigs and chicks of all things. So after I got them from the farrowing house, I took them in the house so Baylie could see them. She was excited and scared. If they jumped, she did too. It was cute. Well, I'll end it here for now. Catch you all next time!

Catching up

Hello all! Well, I was told that I need to keep posting-I've been slacking on the blogging. I agree. It's just been nice out and we have been out riding grandpa busby's mule (not the animal-the atv) and walking around looking at cows and going to granny janny's and papa marlin's to see the things going on down there. Baylie is now 13 months old and is already in her terrible 2's some days. Brad has been hauling grain and watching about his and his dad's cows for calves. I have been running and running. I took 3rd in my age group last weekend in St. Joe for the Happy Camper Scamper run at Bartlett Park. I ran my 5K (3.1 miles) in 26:29. Not bad for me. It's my fastest time yet-partly because when I got to the park it was still 5 degrees at 8:00 in the morning and my toes felt like they were going to fall off through 1/2 the race. Now, if the weather will stay nice and dry up, Baylie can start playing outside with me. We have a lot of yard work to do like everyone else. I'm ready to get started!!

Baylie's 1st Birthday

Hello all! Well, we made it through her first birthday. She had a good time. She was very tired when we got home of course. She got a lot of great gifts from everyone. We are still going through them. The first 2 pics are from her actual birthday eating her cupcake. The other 2 are from her party eating her cupcake and loving one of the dollies she got. I'll add more a little later.

Hello all!  I decided to start a blog so we can do some videoing and everyone gets the pleasure to see our little one! Even her uncle Jeremy who is currently in China. I really want him to see her birthday party since he isn't able to be with us. So here we go off and running. Today is her 1st birthday! Yeah!!!!! She is the boss of the house that is 100% sure. Her big party is this Friday with her big family--the Busby/DeFreece and the Meyer sides. I'll be taking some video that night so I can post it for the rest of you. Have a nice day!!
